About The Brand

Jean-Paul Gaultier is a renowned French fashion designer born in 1952. He had previously worked for Cardin, Jacques Esteirel, and Patou before launching his own label in 1976. Gaultier is famously known as the "enfant terrible de Paris" due to his unconventional fashion choices. He refrained from following the late 1970s trend for natural fibres and instead opted for imitation leather, artificial fur, nylon, viscose, metal, and rubber in his collections. Gaultier's designs are influenced by abstraction, surrealism, 1950s kitsch, and London street style, especially punk. His unique combinations of styles, such as pairing biker leather jackets with ballet tutus, have garnered widespread attention. Some of his notable collections include corsets, conical bras, and velvet corset skirts, along with bracelets made from cat food tins.

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania was born out of Vivienne’s belief that fashion is a combination and exchange of ideas between England and France – the English for bringing tailoring and easy charm while the French add-in their solidity of design and proportion. One out of the four clothing lines from Vivienne Westwood, Anglomania represents a punk and rebel aesthetic.
